Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking an experienced Project Manager Staff to lead complex EPC and CCGT projects within a matrix organization. You will guide teams across planning, execution, and closeout while ensuring safety, budget adherence, and stakeholder alignment.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, communication, and business acumen to deliver on short- and long-term goals and maximize customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10 years' experience or equivalents in project management and construction fields.
• PMP certification is preferred or must be approved for waiver.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities with expert proficiency in all aspects.
• Lead planning meetings and detailed stakeholder presentations; communicate status and risks clearly.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, tools and staff; ensure safe, efficient and economical execution.
• Represent the project team to internal and external customers, regulators, and partners; drive continuous improvement.
