Job summary

AEP Service Corporation in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced Project Manager Staff to lead high-complexity programs within a matrix team. You will direct planning, execution, and control using traditional and agile methods, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include developing plans, budgets, and communications for internal and external stakeholders while maintaining project governance and cost control. AEP values leadership, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related field with 10 years of qualified experience; OR Associate's degree with 12 years; OR HS diploma with 14 years.
Three years as a Project Manager Principal (Grade 9) preferred, or proven competency in a shorter timeline.
Experience in project management, major construction, project controls/estimating, contracting, and risk management.
PMP certification required unless waiver approved by SVP or OPCO President.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage project activities using Waterfall/Agile.
Ensure safety through the AEP System Safety Process and Zero Harm goals.
Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and staffing; control costs and reallocate funding as needed.
Provide clear written and oral status updates and stakeholder communications.
