Job summary

AEP Service Corporation, based in Kentucky, seeks an experienced Project Manager Staff Sr. to lead large complex programs within a matrix team. You will plan, direct, coordinate, and close projects with a focus on safety, cost control, and stakeholder communication.

Requires PMP certification or waiver, extensive PM experience in utilities or IT systems preferred, and strong leadership. On-site with travel up to 50%, base salary up to $208k plus rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related field with ten (10) years qualified experience.
• OR Associate’s degree with twelve (12) years of qualified experience.
• OR High School Diploma/GED with fourteen (14) years of qualified experience.
• Experience as PROJECT MANAGER PRINCIPAL (Grade 9) preferred, or demonstrated competencies in project management duties.
• Mastery in construction safety, negotiations, scope development and control, cost estimating, contracting, controls and reporting, quality control, risk management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities with expert level proficiency.
• Lead planning meetings and complex stakeholder presentations; provide clear written and oral reports.
• Develop and manage project plan, schedule, budget, tools, and staff; optimize funding.
• Foster teamwork, manage relationships with internal/external customers, partners, vendors.
• Apply PM tools/techniques; ensure compliance with AEP standards and safety processes.
• Travel up to 50% as required; perform light physical duties on occasion.
