Job summary

Southland Industries in Texas seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead a team on a large, complex project or several smaller projects. You will coach the team, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as the primary client contact.

Strong communication and leadership are essential to coordinate with internal departments and stakeholders. Qualifications include a four-year engineering degree and 10+ years of experience in design engineering domains such as HVAC and plumbing.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience.
• Ten years of experience preferred for senior leadership of complex projects.
• Expert knowledge of design engineering aspects for systems such as HVAC and plumbing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels of staff, clients and contractors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage a project team for a single large complex project or multiple smaller projects, including coaching and performance feedback.
• Develop client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Partner with management to develop and implement project strategies.
• Manage budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, and related financials.
• Participate in project meetings with internal departments to discuss schedule and issues.
• Ensure project scope and direction stay on schedule in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Delegate work and mentor the project team, providing coaching as needed.
