Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead a project team on a large complex project or multiple smaller projects. You will coach the team and serve as the primary contact for clients and internal stakeholders.

You will develop and implement project strategies with management, manage budgets and change orders, provide status updates, and ensure the scope stays on schedule. Strong MEP design knowledge and CAD/ERP proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in design/MEP projects.
• Expert knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and design engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large, complex projects.
• Strong public speaking and client presentation skills.
• Strong CAD, ERP, and MS Office skills (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage a project team for a large project or multiple smaller projects.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to the project team.
• Develop client relationships and provide project status updates to clients and leadership.
• Partner with management to develop and implement project strategies.
• Manage budget reports, cost and revenue projections, and change orders for the project.
• Participate in project meetings with internal departments to discuss schedules and issues.
• Ensure scope and direction of the project is on schedule.
• Delegate work and mentor the project team.
