Job summary

Southland Industries in the United States seeks a seasoned Project Manager to provide leadership on complex mechanical or electrical projects, develop new business opportunities, and manage client relations across healthcare, education, manufacturing, or data center sectors.

You will lead project teams, evaluate scope and alternatives, plan staffing, control schedules and budgets, and pursue change orders to drive profitability while maintaining client satisfaction and contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organization and prioritization abilities.
• Professional, diplomatic and motivated with a client-focused mindset.
• OSHA-30 certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management direction on complex mechanical or electrical projects.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with stakeholders to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Evaluate scope of work and analyze alternatives for optimal construction techniques.
• Plan, staff, and manage project positions through regional leadership.
• Coordinate with superintendents and fabrication teams on prefabrication options.
• Develop and maintain project objectives, policies and performance standards.
• Engage with clients and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities and negotiate subcontracts.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and cash flow; issue variance reports and change orders as needed.
• Research new materials and assess cost, performance and conformance.
