Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead heavy civil construction projects valued at $15–$49 million. You will drive forecasting, budgeting, and bid-to-build processes while coordinating estimators, area managers, and project teams to deliver on schedule and profitability.

The role demands strong leadership, construction knowledge, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships with owners, subcontractors, and regulators.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
• 5+ years of progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• 5+ years of experience in paving, dirt, and grading in either private or public environments.
• Knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.
• Knowledge of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction, completion, and financial outcomes of construction projects ranging from $15–$49 million.
• Forecast project revenue and costs to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and controls to establish budget and plan kickoff.
• Lead estimating efforts on vertically integrated projects for bid-to-build accuracy.
• Ensure safety programs and compliance across the project team.
