Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a project leader for work up to $15 million in size. The role oversees budgeting, forecasting, and coordination with estimators and project controls to ensure profitability and on-time delivery.

The successful candidate will drive bid reviews, develop comprehensive startup plans, and foster strong relationships with owners, agencies and subcontractors while maintaining safety and quality under high production demands.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
• Three to five years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• Minimum of five years experience in paving, dirt, and grading in either private or public environments.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project revenue and costs to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and project controls to set budgets.
• Lead estimating efforts on vertically integrated projects for bid-to-build consistency.
• Manage resources with estimators, sponsors, and managers to meet schedules.
• Participate in bid reviews and bid closings for accuracy and feasibility.
