Job summary

Granite Construction in the United States is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee construction projects ranging from $15 to $49 million. This role directs overall strategy, ensures on-time completion, and drives financial outcomes.

You will lead estimators, coordinate with project controls, manage startup plans, and maintain rigorous job controls while fostering client relationships and safe, profitable work. A BS in a related field and 5–10 years heavy civil experience are required.

• Knowledge and understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project revenue and costs to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and project controls to set budget.
• Lead estimating efforts for bid-to-build processes on large projects.
• Manage resources with project team to meet schedule.
• Participate in bid reviews and bid closings to ensure bid accuracy.
• Coordinate startup plans with project team for successful kickoff.
• Foster dynamic communication among engineers, foremen, superintendents, and PMs to ensure efficient work.
• Maintain accurate job controls: quantities, costs, revenue, and schedule.
• Establish relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors to build partnerships.
• Ensure construction reports support performance improvements.
• Run projects at or above target margins.
• Support safety initiatives and a safe work environment.
