Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated seeks a project leader to oversee large-scale heavy civil work, with project scopes from $15–$49 million. You’ll drive forecasting, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination to deliver profitable outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years in paving, dirt, and grading, plus a BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. You’ll ensure safety, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction on site.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• Five+ years of experience in paving, dirt, and grading in private or public environments.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project revenue and cost to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and project controls to establish budget.
• Lead estimating for vertically integrated projects and ensure bid accuracy.
• Coordinate with area managers to manage resources and meet schedules.
• Participate in bid reviews and develop bid schedules with the estimating team.
• Plan project startup and kickoff with project team.
• Foster clear communication among project engineers, foremen, superintendents, and area managers.
• Ensure accurate job controls for quantities, costs, revenue, and schedule.
• Build long-term client relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, and management.
• Deliver construction reports to drive continuous performance improvements.
