Job summary

Granite Construction Company seeks a seasoned project leader to oversee heavy civil construction projects ranging from $15–$49 million. You will coordinate with estimators, manage budgets, and lead bid-to-build efforts to ensure profitability and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years of progressive project experience in paving, dirt and grading, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork across project teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five to ten years of progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• Minimum of five years experience in paving, dirt, and grading.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project revenue and costs to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and project controls to establish budget.
• Lead estimating efforts for bid-to-build processes.
• Manage resources with project team to meet schedule.
• Ensure comprehensive start-up planning and kickoff for projects.
• Provide environment with clear project communication among engineers, foremen, superintendents and manager.
• Maintain proper job controls: quantities, costs, revenue and schedule.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors and clients.
• Prepare accurate construction reports to monitor performance and profitability.
• Comply with Granite safety initiatives.
