Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Project Manager to lead transmission, substation, distribution, gas and IT projects with cross-functional teams across multiple operating areas. You will manage scope, schedule, budget and safety performance, guiding projects from business case through closeout.

Typical project budgets range from $250K to $15 million, and extended hours may be required during storms. You will partner with sponsors and stakeholders, mentor team members, and obtain resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 4–7 years PM experience, or high school diploma with 6–9 years PM experience.
• CAPM certification or achieve CAPM within two years (PMP certification will fulfill this).
• Proven success at managing projects.
• Ability to work independently and as a team leader with conflicting priorities.
• Strong independent judgment.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and access to an automobile.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project performance for major transmission, substation, distribution, and gas projects.
• Manage costs, schedule and scope with recovery plans.
• Coordinate requirements with external and internal stakeholders.
• Primary communicator with sponsor and key stakeholders at executive level.
• Foster good working relationships between project team, line managers, and interfacing orgs.
• Coach and lead team members to complete assigned tasks.
• Identify and obtain project team resources.
• Ensure team understands their responsibilities.
