Austin Commercial is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Houston Texas Division. You will lead a major commercial construction project, coordinating owners, architects, and a large team of employee-owners to deliver on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include preconstruction input, bid analysis, cost control, and CPM scheduling. You will mentor staff and ensure safety, quality, and compliance across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (may obtain within first year).
• Proficient in project manager software.
• Proficient with cost projection, scheduling, financial analysis, budget reviews and labor reports.
• Ability to build and manage multiple high performing teams.

Responsabilités

• Oversees a major construction project by planning, scheduling and coordinating all phases of the project.
• Organizes and manages a large project staff with duties divided among multiple employee-owners.
• Works with owners and architects during plan development to provide input and prepare budgets and bids.
• Handles startup activities with the superintendent including site security, power, utilities, and logistics.
• Reviews subcontractor bids, ensures bonds and insurance, and resolves contract issues.
• Ensures compliance with contract terms and maintains quality standards; documents issues for future reference.
• Prepares monthly job status reports and manages cost variances with the team.
• Prepares and submits monthly pay requests and expedites payment when delays occur.
• Works with Scheduling to develop and maintain master construction schedule and CPM updates.
• Distributes changes for pricing, negotiates scope changes, and secures owner approvals in writing.
