Job summary

Austin Industries, a leading U.S.-based construction company, seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee contract administration, cost control, and scheduling on large-scale projects in Houston, TX. The role emphasizes document control, change management, and collaboration with owners, engineers, and subcontractors.

The candidate will manage budgets, look-ahead schedules, safety plans, and compliance with applicable laws while delivering projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or related field.
• 5-7 years of project experience.
• Read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
• Forecast cost for self-performed work and resource needs.
• Ensure compliance with laws, ordinances and building codes.
• Administer Lump Sum, Unit Price, Time & Material projects.

Responsibilities

• Contract Administration: identify/fulfill reporting obligations and deliverables.
• Setup/maintain document control, drawings, submittals, RFIs, and correspondence.
• Review submittals for coordination; draft project correspondence.
• Attend meetings; assist mobilization and bid review.
• Prepare and submit customer pay requests; manage change orders.
• Maintain project documentation and inspections in the UFS.
• Cost/Productivity: update budgets and job cost reporting.
• Scheduling: develop/look-ahead schedules; update progress.
• Safety/Environmental: participate in safety plans and compliance.

Education
