Job summary

Austin Commercial seeks a Senior Project Manager for its Austin, Texas Division. The PM will lead large commercial construction projects, coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, manage budgets and schedules, and drive project success in an ESOP-owned culture.

Responsibilities include bid workups, cost controls, and ensuring adherence to plans while guiding a team of PMs and superintendents through all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field.
• 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (must obtain within first year).
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Ability to build and manage multiple high-performing teams.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States (sponsorship not provided).

Responsibilities

• Oversee a major construction project by planning, scheduling and coordinating all phases.
• Organize and manage a large project staff of owner-owners, PMs and superintendents.
• Provide input on plan development, cost estimates, and final bid and contract documents.
• Ensure startup activities, site logistics, and safety protocols are followed.
• Review subcontractor bids, bonds, and insurance; manage change orders and payments.
• Develop and maintain master schedules; monitor variances and prepare status reports.
• Ensure compliance with all laws, codes, and company policies; close out projects effectively.
