Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr Project Controls Professional for a site-based assignment with opportunities across the U.S., including Spartanburg, SC, Baton Rouge, LA, and Corpus Christi, TX. You will lead cost control, forecast accuracy, and progress tracking within a dedicated project controls team, collaborating with construction teams and vendors to ensure robust cost performance.

The role emphasizes strong EVMS experience, contract knowledge, and the ability to travel for on-site assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field — or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls with strong cost management and field operations.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and pay application processes.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup, monitoring, and forecasting of project cost and progress metrics.
• Manage all cost control elements, including budget development, scope change tracking, and expenditure/forecast reporting.
• Maintain accurate data in cost control systems and tools.
• Analyze revenue and cost performance and recommend corrective actions to project and construction managers.
• Review and approve contractor pay applications, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Track and report construction progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Coordinate with contractors to collect and upload weekly progress data into project systems.
