Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr Project Controls Professional to support on-site assignments across Spartanburg, SC; Baton Rouge, LA; or Corpus Christi, TX, with future travel across the U.S. The role focuses on cost control, EVM, forecasting, and reporting through the project lifecycle.

You will lead cost control elements, manage budgets and change tracking, review pay applications, and collaborate with construction teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in project controls with focus on cost management and field operations.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and pay application processes.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel for on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup, monitoring, and forecasting of project cost and progress metrics.
• Manage all cost control elements, including Budget development and updates, Scope change tracking, Expenditure and forecast reporting.
• Maintain accurate data in cost control systems and tools.
• Analyze revenue and cost performance and recommend corrective actions to project and construction managers.
• Review and approve contractor pay applications, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
• Track and report on construction physical progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Coordinate with contractors to collect and upload weekly progress data into project systems.
