Job summary

STV is seeking a Billing Specialist for our Project Accounting group. This hybrid role (3 days per week in office) can be located in Douglassville, Newark, Lawrenceville, Dallas, or Frisco offices.

The Billing Specialist will manage portfolio-based invoicing with minimal supervision, collaborating with the project analyst and accounting staff to ensure accurate, timely invoicing. Qualifications include a HS/GED or higher, a bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience, 5+ years of

Qualifications

• HS/GED Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Management/Administration preferred or demonstrated equivalent years of experience
• 5+ years of related experience
• Strong planning, organizational and communication skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
• Experience in the A/E/C industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Draft project invoices with accuracy per contract terms for assigned portfolio of projects.
• Audit billing information accuracy on the EO and in the ERP system during project setup.
• Review contracts, modifications, amendments, and task orders including terms of compensation and invoicing formats.
• Create invoicing templates with support from Billing Supervisor to meet contract requirements.
• Route invoices for approval before finalizing; maintain invoice files and approvals.
• Ensure reinstatement of invoices as required and no unallocated credits at month end.
• Review WIP alignment with revenue and report for further analysis as needed.
• Develop solutions to billing issues and collaborate with systems design for new features.
• May submit invoices to clients or client portals; support retention invoicing.
