Job summary

STV is seeking a Billing Specialist for our Project Accounting group. The role is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and can be located in Douglassville, PA; Newark, NJ; Lawrenceville, NJ; Dallas, TX and Frisco, TX.

The Billing Specialist will manage portfolio-based billing with minimal supervision, collaborating with project analysts and accounting staff to ensure accurate, timely invoicing across assigned projects.

Qualifications

• HS/GED Diploma is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Management/Administration preferred or demonstrated equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong planning, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Experience in the A/E/C industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft project invoices with accuracy and in contract billing terms for assigned portfolio of projects.
• Audit billing information on EO and entries in the ERP system during project setup.
• Review contracts, modifications, and task orders including invoicing terms and formats.
• Create invoicing templates to meet contract requirements with Billing Supervisor support.
• Route invoices for approval before finalizing and maintain invoice files.
• Reconcile WIP with revenue and report deviations to Project Analyst as needed.
• Develop solutions to billing issues and work with systems design to implement new features.
• May submit invoices to clients or client portals as requested.
• Support invoicing of retention balances and annual/project overhead audits.
