Job summary

STV is seeking a Billing Specialist for our Project Accounting group. The role is hybrid (3 days/week in office) and located in Dallas, Frisco, or other listed STV offices. You will handle portfolio-based billing, ensure accuracy, and work with project staff to invoice on time.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of related experience, a BA/BS in accounting or related field preferred, strong Excel skills, and a background in the A/E/C industry. Not eligible for sponsorship.

Qualifications

• HS/GED Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Management/Administration preferred or demonstrated equivalent years of experience.
• A minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience in the A/E/C industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft project invoices with accuracy and in contract-billing terms for assigned portfolio.
• Audit billing information for EO and ERP entry during project setup.
• Review contracts, modifications, and task orders including compensation terms and invoice formats.
• Create invoicing templates to meet contract requirements with Billing Supervisor support.
• Route invoices to Project Analyst and PM for approval before finalizing.
• Maintain document control of invoices and approvals.
• Request reinstatement of invoices and ensure re-run with no unallocated credits at month end.
• Review WIP alignment with revenue and report to Project Analyst if needed.
• Develop solutions to billing issues and work with systems design on new features.
• May submit invoices to clients or client portals; support retention invoicing as directed.
