Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Billing Specialist for our Project Accounting team. This hybrid role requires drafting invoices, reviewing contracts, and coordinating with project teams in Dallas or Frisco, TX.

You will ensure accuracy, manage WIP alignment, and support month-end close while using ERP systems and Excel to deliver compliant billing. We value experience in the A/E/C industries and a proactive approach to problem solving, with opportunities to advance within a national firm.

Qualifications

• HS/GED Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Management/Administration preferred or demonstrated equivalent years of experience.
• A minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong planning, organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in the A/E/C industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft project invoices accurately in compliance with contract billing terms.
• Audit billing information in the ERP system during project setup.
• Review contracts for terms, formats, invoicing frequency and supporting documents.
• Create invoicing templates to meet contract requirements with Billing Supervisor.
• Route invoices for approval before finalizing and maintain invoice files.
• Reinstate invoices as needed and ensure no unallocated credits at month end.
• Review WIP alignment with revenue and report for further analysis.
• Develop billing solutions and collaborate on new features with systems design.
• May submit invoices to clients or portals as requested.
• Support retention invoicing and annual/end-of-project overhead audits.
