Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Production Engineer in Knoxville, TN to optimize plant operations and ensure safe, efficient production of low-cost, high-quality products. You will coordinate with supply chain, drive MET adoption, and lead troubleshooting with SMEs.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience, plus US work authorization. The role emphasizes safety, permits compliance, and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production needs into plant production goals.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for production planning, shipping, and materials.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations and maintenance.
• Coach plant personnel on KPI tracking and performance metrics.
• Work with operations to apply problem-solving and technical expertise.
• Leverage MET and process automation to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with SMEs for advanced troubleshooting and actions.
• Diagnose asset utilization losses and document root causes.
• Review logbooks and alarms daily to stay engaged in operations.
• Maintain daily KPI trends and ensure optimum performance.
• Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies; participate in on-call.
