Job summary

Dow in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to optimize plant operations, resolve issues, and enable safe, cost-effective production of quality products.

You will coordinate production units, partner with Integrated Supply Chain, and serve as the interface between the plant and technology centers to improve performance. The role requires a bachelor's in engineering and at least 3 years of experience, with US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Translates business needs into plant production goals.
• Works with Integrated Supply Chain on planning, shipping, and materials.
• Determines shutdown timing with supply chain, turnaround, and operations.
• Coaches plant personnel on measurement tools and KPI trends.
• Collaborates with operations and SMEs to optimize plant performance.
• Ensures MET understanding and use of process automation to improve outcomes.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting and documents root causes of losses.
• Reviews logbooks and alarm histories to monitor operations.
• Leads daily KPI reviews and on-call rotations.
• Provides leadership in Raw Material Efficiency and compliance with permits.
