Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Production Engineer in Knoxville, TN to optimize plant operations, resolve issues, and enable safe, efficient production of quality products. You will coordinate plant production with the supply chain and play a key role in driving improvements using MET and process automation.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Chemical or mechanical engineering preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience required.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production goals into plant production goals.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for production planning and shipping.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations, and Maintenance.
• Coach plant personnel on measurement tools and performance records.
• Collaborate with operations teams and subject matter experts to optimize plant performance.
• Utilize MET and process automation to improve plant operations and compliance.
• Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses and document actions.
• Maintain daily KPI trends and respond to plant emergencies.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide leadership during unplanned events.
