Job summary

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Engineer located in Knoxville, TN. The role focuses on applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve issues, and enable safe, efficient production of low-cost, high-quality products.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Supply Chain, improving performance via MET and automation, and driving corrective actions during unplanned events while ensuring compliance and safety across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production goals into plant production targets.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for planning, shipping, and raw materials.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, and Operations.
• Coach plant personnel on KPI tracking and performance records.
• Collaborate with operations and SMEs to optimize plant performance.
• Apply MET knowledge and process automation to improve efficiency.
• Diagnose asset utilization losses and document root causes.
• Review logbooks and alarm histories daily to stay informed.
• Maintain daily KPI trends for optimum performance and safety.
• Respond to plant issues urgently and participate in on-call rotations.
