Job summary

Dow seeks a Senior Production Engineer for its Knoxville, TN site to optimize plant operations, resolve issues, and enable safe, low-cost production of quality products. You will liaise with Supply Chain to meet production goals, coach teams, and apply MET and automation to improve performance.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 3+ years of experience, and US work authorization. Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and safety focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Chemical or mechanical preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production needs into plant production goals.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain on planning and shipping.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain and Operations.
• Coach personnel on KPI tracking and performance records.
• Collaborate with operations and SMEs to optimize plant performance.
• Apply MET and process automation to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses.
• Review logbooks and alarm history to understand plant operations.
• Monitor daily KPI trends and respond to emergencies.
• Participate in on-call rotation and act as unit technical expert.
