Job summary

Dow seeks a Senior Production Engineer in Knoxville, TN to optimize plant operations, drive safe and efficient production, and coordinate with Supply Chain. You will diagnose issues, lead improvements, and ensure compliance with permits while applying MET and automation to reduce costs.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in engineering with 3+ years of experience, and legal US work status. The role offers on-site work with a strong emphasis on collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production goals into plant production targets.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for planning, shipping, and materials.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations, and Maintenance teams.
• Coach plant personnel on performance metrics and daily updates.
• Collaborate with operations and SMEs to troubleshoot and optimize processes.
• Utilize MET and process automation to improve plant performance and compliance.
• Lead root-cause analysis of asset utilization losses and implement corrective actions.
• Review daily logbooks and alarms to stay engaged with operations.
