Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Production Engineer for the Knoxville, TN area to optimize plant operations, resolve issues, and enable safe, cost-efficient production of quality products. You will coordinate with Supply Chain, drive KPI improvements, and apply MET and process automation to enhance performance.

Role requires strong technical problem-solving, data analysis, and collaboration with operations and SMEs. 3+ years of experience and US work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production goals into plant production targets.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for planning and shipping.
• Schedule shutdowns with Supply Chain, Turnaround, and Ops.
• Coach plant personnel on KPI tracking and performance data.
• Collaborate with operations teams to optimize performance.
• Leverage plant and SME knowledge to drive improvements.
• Ensure MET understanding and use of process automation.
• Work with specialists on troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses.
• Review daily logbooks and alarms to monitor operations.
• Maintain daily KPI trends for optimum performance.
• Respond to plant issues and participate in on-call rotation.
• Act as unit technical expert during unplanned events.
• Provide leadership in Raw Material Efficiency and waste control.
• Ensure compliance with operating permits and site integration.
