Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Production Engineer in Knoxville, TN to optimize plant operations, drive safe and cost-effective production, and serve as a technical interface between plant and supply chain. The role requires broad engineering knowledge and hands-on leadership to meet business goals.

You will collaborate with operations, supply chain, and SMEs to troubleshoot, implement MET and process automation, and maintain KPI-driven performance daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• US work eligibility required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and translate them into plant production goals.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for production planning, shipping and raw materials.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations and Maintenance.
• Coach plant personnel on KPI measurement and daily performance updates.
• Work with operations teams and SMEs to troubleshoot and optimize.
• Ensure MET is understood and process automation is used to improve performance.
• Collaborate with experts for advanced troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses and maintain KPI trends.
• Respond to plant issues promptly; participate in on-call rotation.
• Provide leadership on raw material efficiency and compliance with permits.
