Job summary

Dow in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to optimize plant operations, resolve issues, and ensure safe, cost-effective production of quality products. You will coordinate production units with Supply Chain and Technology Center SMEs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3+ years of experience, and US work authorization; relocation is not offered. You will mentor teams, monitor KPIs, and lead troubleshooting during unplanned events.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Chemical or mechanical preferred.
At least 3 years of relevant experience.
US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

Translate business production needs into plant production goals.
Coordinate production planning, shipping, and materials with Supply Chain.
Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, and Operations.
Coach personnel on measurement tools and KPI trends.
Collaborate with operations teams and SMEs to optimize performance.
Apply MET knowledge and process automation to improve efficiency and compliance.
Diagnose asset utilization losses and document root causes.
Review daily logbooks and alarms to stay aligned with operations.
Lead on-call responses and emergency actions.
Provide leadership on Raw Material Efficiency and related metrics.
