Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Production Engineer in Knoxville, TN to optimize plant operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe, cost-effective production of quality products.

You will partner with Operations and the Integrated Supply Chain to align production planning, material flow, and equipment performance, leveraging MET and process automation to drive improvements. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience required.
• U.S. work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and translate to plant production goals.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for production planning, shipping, and raw materials.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations, and Maintenance.
• Coach plant personnel on performance metrics and daily updates.
• Collaborate with Operations and SMEs to optimize plant performance.
• Ensure MET understanding and use of process automation to improve operations.
• Lead troubleshooting and document root causes of losses.
• Review logbooks and alarm history daily to understand plant operation.
• Maintain daily KPIs and respond to plant issues and emergencies.
• Participate in on-call rotations and act as unit technical expert during unplanned events.
• Provide leadership in Raw Material Efficiency and ensure compliance with permits.
