Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Production Engineer in Knoxville, TN to optimize plant operations and enable safe, cost-effective production of quality products.

The role coordinates production units, collaborates with Supply Chain, and guides the team on performance metrics while ensuring compliance with operating permits and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring strong problem-solving and data analysis skills, and experience with MET and process automation in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in production/operations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production goals into plant objectives.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for planning, shipping, and materials.
• Determine shutdown timing with cross-functional teams.
• Coach staff on performance metrics and records (KPI/logbook).
• Apply MET knowledge and process automation to optimize plant performance.
• Lead root-cause analysis for asset utilization losses.
• Maintain daily KPI trends and respond to plant issues swiftly.
