Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Production Engineer for our Knoxville, TN site. You will leverage engineering expertise to optimize plant operations, resolve process issues, and ensure safe, cost-effective production of high-quality products.

You will collaborate with operations, supply chain, and technology centers to drive performance and continuous improvement. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience, with a strong emphasis on safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required, Chemical or mechanical preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Translates business needs into plant production goals.
• Coordinates with Supply Chain on production planning and shipping.
• Determines shutdown timing with cross-functional teams.
• Coaches plant personnel on KPI measurement and performance tracking.
• Collaborates with operations and SMEs to apply best practices.
• Ensures MET understanding and use of process automation to optimize performance.
• Leads root-cause analysis of asset utilization losses.
• Maintains daily KPI reviews and responds to urgent plant issues.
