Job summary

Dow in Knoxville, TN seeks a Senior Production Engineer to optimize plant operations, drive safe and cost-efficient production, and liaise with Supply Chain. The role requires broad theoretical knowledge and practical experience to coordinate production units with business goals.

You will apply MET and automation tools, mentor site personnel, and lead investigations into process issues to sustain high performance and safe operations across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• United States work authorization required; no visa sponsorship will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Understands business needs and translates them into plant production goals.
• Coordinates with Integrated Supply Chain on production planning and shipping.
• Determines shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations and Maintenance.
• Coaches plant personnel on measurement tools and KPI trends.
• Collaborates with operations and SMEs to optimize plant performance.
• Applies MET and process automation knowledge to improve operations.
• Leads advanced troubleshooting and implements corrective actions.
• Documents root causes of asset utilization losses and improves efficiency.
• Maintains daily KPI reviews and responds to plant emergencies.
• Participates in on-call rotation and provides technical leadership.
