Job summary

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Engineer located in Knoxville, TN. The role partners with Operations to optimize plant performance, ensure safe, low-cost production, and drive continuous improvement across process variables and equipment.

You will coordinate with Supply Chain, lead troubleshooting, mentor operations teams, and champion MET-enabled automation while maintaining permits and KPI discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Chemical or mechanical engineering preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production needs into plant goals and KPIs.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for planning, shipping, and materials.
• Schedule shutdowns with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations and Maintenance.
• Coach plant personnel on measurement tools and KPI trends.
• Collaborate with operations teams and SMEs to optimize performance.
• Ensure understanding and use of MET and automation for efficiency.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses.
• Review logbooks and alarm histories daily to monitor operations.
• Maintain daily KPI trends and respond to plant issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations and act as unit technical expert during unplanned events.
• Improve Raw Material Efficiency including yield and waste management.
• Ensure compliance with operating permits and site integration.
