Job summary

Dow seeks a Senior Production Engineer in Knoxville, TN to optimize plant operations, drive safe and cost-effective production, and serve as the interface between the plant and supply chain. You will apply engineering principles to improve yield, monitor KPI trends, and lead troubleshooting with SMEs, ensuring compliance with permits and MET technology throughout daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Translates business production goals into plant production goals.
• Coordinates with Integrated Supply Chain for planning, shipping, and materials.
• Determines shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations, and Maintenance.
• Coaches plant personnel on performance metrics and daily updates.
• Works with operations teams and SMEs to optimize production.
• Applies MET and process automation to improve performance.
• Diagnoses root causes of asset utilization losses.
• Reviews KPI trends and logbooks daily to monitor operations.
• Participates in on-call rotations and emergency response.
• Provides leadership in Raw Material Efficiency and waste reduction.
