Job summary

Dow in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to optimize plant operations and ensure safe, cost-efficient production of high-quality products. You will interface with Supply Chain, Operations and Maintenance to translate business needs into production goals and drive continuous improvement across KPI metrics.

You will contribute to on-call rotations, lead troubleshooting, and apply MET-driven process automation to improve overall plant performance.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in engineering is required. Chemical or mechanical engineering preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into plant production goals.
• Coordinate production planning, shipping and raw materials with Supply Chain.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations and Maintenance.
• Coach plant personnel on measurement tools and KPI trends.
• Collaborate with operations teams and SMEs to optimize performance.
• Ensure MET understanding and use of process automation to improve plant performance.
• Lead root cause analysis of asset utilization losses.
• Review daily logbooks and alarms to monitor plant operations.
• Maintain daily KPI trends to ensure optimum performance.
• Respond to plant issues and participate in on-call rotations.
