Job summary

Dow in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to optimize plant operations and drive safe, efficient production of quality products. You will coordinate with supply chain, support troubleshooting, and mentor operations staff.

You will apply technical expertise to improve yield and reduce waste, manage execution of plant improvements, and ensure compliance with operating permits and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and translate to plant production goals.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for production planning and shipping.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, and Operations.
• Coach personnel on performance metrics and daily KPI updates.
• Apply MET and process automation to optimize plant performance.
• Lead root-cause analysis of asset utilization losses.
• Maintain daily KPI reviews and respond to plant issues.
