Job summary

Truist seeks a Problem Management Automation and Reliability Engineering Senior Technology Operations Consultant to reduce toil by automating repetitive steps and working live with Problem Management to drive root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.

You will build ServiceNow workflows and dashboards, write scripts to remove manual effort, and create reliable, auditable solutions for production services in a regulated financial institution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years in technology operations.
• Deep expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, security, compliance, and risk management.
• Proven governance, planning, and operational excellence experience.
• Ability to explain root cause, risk, and business impact clearly to executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Delivers technology operations for an assigned area with minimal supervision to meet performance, availability, and security targets.
• Contributes to development and maintenance of standards, runbooks, and governance patterns to reduce risk and improve operations.
• Leads large or complex initiatives by planning, designing, and implementing technology solutions.
• Evaluates and pilots emerging technologies and automation to deliver measurable improvements.
• Provides day-to-day technical guidance and coaching to engineers and technical professionals.
• Translates leadership objectives into practical technical plans and roadmaps.
• Monitors operational metrics, logs, and observability data to drive continuous improvement.
• Serves as technical contact for vendors and adjacent teams on assigned solutions.
