Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in the Oregon/Washington region, based in Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA. You'll advance business development, mentor staff, and deliver complex roadway, bridge, and multimodal projects with our established teams.

This role offers eligibility for equity awards and a $20,000 sign-on bonus, plus annual bonus opportunities and a collaborative culture focused on growth and client success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license in OR and WA (or ability to obtain within six months).
• 15+ years managing infrastructure projects.
• Experience with ODOT Design Manual, AASHTO, MUTCD.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Lead business development for infrastructure across Oregon and Washington.
• Mentor junior engineers and project managers.
• Develop and review technical reports, design documents, and deliverables.
• Represent the firm at client meetings and industry events.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
