Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Sr Principal Engineer to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure projects across Washington state, with travel to Richland and Walla Walla offices.

The role emphasizes business development, client leadership, and technical execution for major roadway, bridge, and multimodal projects. You will mentor staff, drive project delivery on schedule and within budget, and collaborate with regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 15+ years managing infrastructure projects for WA/OR agencies.
• PE license for WA and OR (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design projects from pursuit through construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure projects with budgets over $3M annually.
• Grow business development for Washington and Oregon across agencies.
• Manage client relationships and mentor junior staff.
• Represent the firm at client meetings and professional events.
