Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Sr Principal Engineer to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure projects from Eastern Washington. This role requires travel to Richland, Walla Walla, and coordination with other WA offices to deliver complex programs for public and private clients.

You will manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk while mentoring junior engineers and expanding our regional footprint. A track record in business development and client service is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience managing infrastructure projects in WA and/or OR.
• PE license in WA and OR within six months of hire.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary infrastructure design from pursuit through construction.
• Strong knowledge of WSDOT Design Manual, AASHTO, MUTCD, and state/local standards.
• Experience with project management, budgeting, scheduling, and client management.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage a delivery portfolio of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects exceeding $3 million annually.
• Lead business development efforts across WA and OR to support strategic growth.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and expand accounts.
• Serve as Project Manager or Principal-in-Charge from planning through construction.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
