Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Sr Principal Engineer based in Eastern Washington to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure projects and grow our WA presence. This role requires PE licensure in WA and OR or ability to obtain quickly, and includes travel to Richland and Walla Walla offices.

You will mentor engineers, manage complex projects from planning through construction, and drive business development with state and local agencies while delivering safe, on-time, and within-budget results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years of progressive infrastructure project management in WA with Oregon experience.
• PE license in WA and OR or ability to obtain within six months.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary infrastructure design from pursuit through construction.
• Strong knowledge of WSDOT Design Manual, AASHTO, MUTCD, and state/local standards.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, client management and PMO.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proven business development.

Responsibilities

• Manage multidisciplinary infrastructure projects with budgets over multi-million.
• Lead business development and client engagement in WA and OR.
• Coordinate diverse teams and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and project managers.
• Represent the firm at meetings and industry events.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify new opportunities.
