Job summary

Apex Companies seeks a Senior Principal Engineer to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure projects across Oregon and Washington from Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA. You will drive project delivery, client relationships, and strategic growth with internal leaders and regional offices while mentoring staff.

Based in Portland, you will collaborate with engineering teams, manage scopes and budgets, and pursue opportunities with state and local agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years managing infrastructure projects in Oregon and/or Washington.
• PE license in Oregon and Washington or ability to obtain within six months.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary infrastructure design from pursuit through construction.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multidisciplinary infrastructure projects with cumulative annual value exceeding $3 million.
• Lead business development for Oregon and Washington totaling over $2 million annually.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and pursue new opportunities.
• Serve as Project Manager or Principal-in-Charge through planning to construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and project managers.
• Represent the firm at client meetings and industry events.
