Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Sr Principal Engineer to lead multidiscipline infrastructure projects from planning through construction across Washington and Oregon.

The role requires strong leadership, client relationship skills, and the ability to deliver complex designs on time and within budget. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience managing infrastructure projects for WA DOT/local agencies.
• PE license in WA and OR or ability to obtain within six months.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary infrastructure design from pursuit to construction.
• Strong knowledge of WSDOT Design Manual, AASHTO, MUTCD, and local standards.
• Proficiency with Project management, budgeting, scheduling, and client management.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for multidisciplinary infrastructure projects with annual totals exceeding $3M.
• Support pursuit of >$2M in annual business development across WA and OR.
• Lead business development for infrastructure projects in Eastern WA and NW region.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; identify new opportunities.
• Act as Project Manager/Principal-in-Charge for complex design projects.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
