Job summary

Twilio seeks a Senior Presales Engineer for the Strategic Communications team. You will lead the technical pre-sales relationship, drive discovery, propose architectures, demonstrate the product, and help close deals.

You will engage with mid-level managers and software engineers, run end-to-end technical opportunities, and guide cross-functional teams to successful outcomes in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products or 6+ years of customer-facing technical delivery experience.
• Excellent communicator and presenter with audience confidence.
• Engaging storyteller able to convey complex topics to varied audiences.
• Ability to understand a customer's communications needs and guide to a technical solution.
• Experience with software development or technical domains.
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering, Math, CS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities, demos, proofs-of-concept, RFPs and design docs.
• Lead technical and product discussions, propose best-practice solutions, and guide customers on Twilio APIs.
• Establish trust by understanding customer pains through discovery and designing innovative solutions.
• Build interactive product demonstrations and engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Be hands-on, high-energy, and a creative problem solver to drive success.
• Identify and solve problems for customers and the team, and share knowledge across the org.
• Contribute to the Solutions Engineering community with demo materials and reusable content.
