Job summary

McGough is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead multi-project preconstruction efforts in a collaborative environment. You will work with owners, design teams, and McGough staff to align scope, budget and schedule from concept through design development.

The role emphasizes interfacing with architects, engineers, and subcontractors, driving BIM/VDC coordination, and applying Lean methods to optimize delivery while managing risk and client relationships.

Qualifications

• : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum 15 years of with large and complex projects, including ground-up projects
• Broad professional skill set to relate to owner/client, design consultant and contractor issues
• Understanding of building systems, coordination and regulatory issues (structure, MEP, landscape, FLS, ADA, etc.)

Responsibilities

• : Pursue and support business development, build client/A&E relationships
• : Lead preconstruction efforts across multiple projects
• : Assist in project setup, communication protocols and early scope alignment
• : Coordinate BIM/VDC and Lean design tools with internal teams
• : Manage design team relationships and cost/schedule control
• : Contribute to development and risk management processes
• : Represent McGough in client and industry events
• : Perform duties of project engineer/assistant PM as needed
