McGough Construction seeks a Preconstruction Manager to lead comprehensive preconstruction services for diverse projects, bridging owners, designers, engineers and contractors. You will coordinate early scope, budgeting, design development, and value engineering to align with client goals.

Based at McGough's Raleigh area office with travel to project sites, the role demands a strong background in architecture/engineering/construction management, senior leadership experience, and a collaborative,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
Experience with large and complex projects.
Strong understanding of building systems, coordination and regulatory requirements.
Experience with project development processes is preferred (preliminary development, estimating, land, entitlements, finance).

Responsibilities

Pursuit and business development: identify new opportunities and build client relationships.
Preconstruction: lead multiple projects through preconstruction from concept to GMP establishment.
Assist in project set-up and communication protocols with internal teams.
Coordinate with A/E partners to deliver design phase deliverables and maintain scope and budget alignment.
Develop project programs, budgets, and scheduling with design teams and McGough staff.
Lead design team management and ensure effective collaboration across stakeholders.
