Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Experienced P&C Field Services Technician for project locations in Maine, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.

You will perform protection and control testing on high voltage substations, use Omicron and Doble test sets, document data with digital tools, and support field teams while maintaining safety and quality. Travel up to 80% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years in electrical testing, including HV/MV equipment.
• Experience with protective relays and testing equipment.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NETA, NFPA standards.
• Ability to travel up to 80% and work in field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning on protection and control systems at HV substations.
• Operate relay test sets and evaluate relays (SEL, GE, Basler, Beckwith, etc.).
• Document field activities using digital tools and logs.
• Support field teams and mentor junior technicians.
• Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on sites.
