Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Field Services Technician for project locations in Maine, New York, North Carolina, and Florida. You will lead field crews, perform protection and control testing on HV substations, mentor technicians, and ensure safety and quality on projects.

This senior role requires extensive HV testing experience, travel up to 80%, and a commitment to regulatory compliance and client requirements.

Qualifications

• 11+ years in electrical testing, including HV breakers, transformers, and substation testing.
• Experience with transmission, generation, or distribution relays and protective schemes.
• Advanced testing with relay calibration using Omicron/Doble equipment and securing test results.
• Proven field safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for HV testing projects with technical guidance and oversight.
• Perform protection and control testing on high voltage substations.
• Mentor technicians and coordinate field crews with engineers and clients.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance across sites.
• Document site activities using forms and digital tools and report progress.
